These are the famous “heretical” wines – in other words the great red wines of the 80’s that do not abide by  Consortium dictates. They are made from different grapes, like Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Shirah and Merlot. They are obviously French school wines, but they were conceived by Italian wine experts in Tuscany.  A universal Icon is wine expert Giacomo Tachis, disciple of the famous Professor Peinaud in Bordeaux. Vigorello, Sassicaia (Tenuta San Guido), Tignanello (Tenute Antinori) had to wait over 20 years to gain international recognition, because they were considered too unconventional.
