Harvest 2024 and What’s New

Despite challenging summer weather conditions, the grape harvest began earlier than in 2023, with quality reported to be above average. David Buzzinelli, president of the Collio Wine Protection Consortium, highlighted that the grapes are particularly healthy and promising excellent results. While the yield is slightly lower than last year.

Innovation and Sustainability

The Consortium has introduced major innovations, including the addition of the specification “Wine from macerated grapes” to the DOC regulations. This officially recognizes orange wines, especially those made from Ribolla Gialla, and marks an important step in valuing local traditions while adapting to modern market trends.

Events and Promotion

2024 also marks the 60th anniversary of the Collio Consortium, celebrated with a rich program of events throughout the year.

Collio Wines

Collio is renowned for its high-quality white wines, including Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, and Sauvignon Blanc. These wines are appreciated for their elegance, freshness, and expression of terroir. The use of innovative techniques and careful vineyard management continues to strengthen Collio’s reputation as one of Italy’s most prestigious wine regions.
